Week 34 Apt...boooo

Today was supposed to be an easy in and out apt... NOPE. Apparently I have protein in my urine and that means I could be starting preclampsia. So they want to have me do a 24 urine collection... did you roll your eyes?? cause I did when they told me lol. Not a fun process either. So I'm doing that at home today and not going anywhere cause uhhh the container has to go with you and be in a fridge. SOOO I bring it back tomorrow at 9am and see what the results are. Then I go back on Monday at 9am to see what the doctors think and want to do.

Week 32 Doctors Appointment

So excited for this one cause they threw in a last minute ultrasound :) The pictures were not that great, Mike being an ultrasound man - fixes them for GE - he was really disappointed with the quality. We got to see some stuff but she tried showing her feet or leg and we just couldn't make it out lol. We found out how big she is!! she's 4 LBS and 4 OZ ... moving my due date to May 26th. Heck I don't mind it :)

Now to wait til 34 weeks and see if they plan on doing more down the line to check her size. She's head down and ready to go too. lol

Took a spill...

well I fell outside yesterday so it was back to the womans center. Hooked up to monitors, checking baby's heartbeat and watching for contractions. All is good and we got sent home. So today I'm resting up on the couch.

Pit stop at the Womans Center

We made a small pit stop for a couple hours at the Womans Center to make sure they contractions and cramping I was having wasn't anything to worry about. Been having them since Saturday and wasn't sure what to make of them.

Cervix was closed, good sign. Contractions/cramping seem to be normal and non threatening for labor, good sign. Urine catch came back clean - no UTI, awesome sign! Last test was the fetal Fibronectin Test. (Fibronectin is protein that holds your amniotic sac to your uterus. They call fibronectin glue. When you get closer to labor it starts breaking down in preparation for labor. Thanks Jennifer for explaining it!) Q-tip on the cervix basically and you wait for it to come back negative - weird test though cause IF its negative there's a 99% chance you will NOT deliver in 2 weeks. IF it comes back positive though, its only a 14% chance you'll go. Gotta love those weird odds! Waiting on the results since they sent us home before they came in.

Now to take it a little easier than I have been. No nesting cleaning... which sucks, ruins my whole plans. lol

Week 30 Apt

This was the quickest one yet! Done in 30 mins or less lol. She asked if we had any questions, measured my tummy (measuring ahead still at 32 weeks) and listened to the heartbeat (150 good and strong) and that was it. So now I go back in another 2 weeks. I might ask for an ultrasound at that point. She said I could, we're concerned about the size of the baby and well if I need to have a C-Section.

Week 28 Appointment

Well we had a LONG appointment today... starting with the lovely and ohh soo not delicious orange drink to check if I have gestational diabetes. This is the second time I've had to do it - the first was at 24 weeks and i passed with flying colors - lets hope its the same again :)

Second part was meeting with the nurse practitioner - They have 11 doctors/practitioners and they suggest meeting them all since your doctor might not be available come time to deliver. I've met 5. This one was a blast, she was older but had a great sense of humor. We discussed the contractions I've had, checked to make sure I wasn't dilated, measured my bump - I'm xxxx cm... HA you thought I'd tell ya?? Nope not til next week on Friday :) And we got to listen to the heartbeat - baby didn't like where she had the monitor and she kicked it and my cervix lol - I said 'she didn't like that' and the doctor said 'I could tell' lol. Her heartbeat was 140.

Somehow we got on the discussion of a baby name and ohhhh that was a fun few minutes. We still haven't decided and when Mike said the name Faustina, she turned looked at him and make him spell it out, kept asking questions and by the time we left the doctor was like 'I like that name'. How does he win everyone over??? Sigh... still deciding on a name!

So now we are starting our 2 week appointments on the 25th. Seems odd to be going down to 2 weeks! Only 10-12 more weeks to go!
